Factory Retail Packaging Saves You Time and Money

Are you preparing a new catalog for Fall of 2013? Don’t forget to make sure you order your final packaging too! By ordering packaging for your product, you save time and money!

Here are a couple ways the factory will save you money:

Employee Time:

Employee time costs you money, and the time that it takes for them to handle the material to package it again will cost you more. Your employees have to open the boxes of product, take it all out, put it in the packaging, and re-box it for shipping or display. Factory employees already have to handle the product before it is prepared for shipment. Adding final packaging takes a minimal amount of time, and is usually reflected in the cost. We all know that the fewer times the product is handled, the cheaper the end cost is to put it on the shelf. And, since “time is money” you get the opportunity to save lots of money.

Cost of Final Packaging Material:

You already outsourced your product to China, India or maybe a factory in the States, because it was more cost effective. The materials for a factory to create your final packaging is probably going to be cheaper than for you to have it done elsewhere. Don’t expect to find a cheaper price on packaging than from the factory that is already making your product.

“What if I want to customize my product?”

If you want to customize you product once you get it, order your packaging at the same time. This means you are going to get your product and your packaging together, minimizing any delays in getting that product out onto the shelf.

In my experience, the cost of adding packaging is so minimal, you will hardly notice it on your final bill. A good factory will care enough about your business to make sure that you are getting the packaging you want. Don’t think you are saving time or money by doing it yourself, in the long run, you are going to be glad to have one less thing to deal with if you let the factory handle your retail packaging.

CNY appreciation

Recent news most economic predictions suggest that the CNY will at most appreciate another 1% this year. Furthermore, most analysts feel that the CNY has reached a general market equilibrium point. Though month to month variations in exchange rates may vary more greatly up and down, analyst expectations combined with several consecutive months of China being a net importer give strong indication that significant and consistent appreciation of the CNY may be a thing of the past allowing for greater stability for businesses running their manufacturing in China and XQ Manufacturing clients.

Recently, XQ Manufacturing was included as the only business to be invited to a tea conducted by US Ambassador to China, Gery Locke honoring organizations involved in charitable and community development programs. RMB Evaluation

This summer China announced a more flexible policy regarding the appreciation of the Yuan. Early assumptions held that it would lead to a year end exchange rate of $1 = 6.5, but so far the effects have been minimal as the RMB has hovered between last year’s norm of 6.8 and 6.7. We believe the best productions have the RMB ending the year around 6.6 to the dollar. For XQ Manufacturing customers we will do our best to hold our prices steady amidst any small changes in the RMB and pass on whatever minimal savings may be gained from the effect of RMB evaluation on raw material prices.
